【初二暑假英语日记】July 5th, Monday

Today is the first day of my summer vacation. I feel very excited because I don’t have to go to school anymore. After a long and busy term, it’s nice to have some time to relax.

This morning, I got up early and had breakfast with my family. My mom made pancakes and eggs. They were delicious. Then I went to the park with my friend Lily. We played basketball for a while and had a picnic under a big tree. It was so cool there.

In the afternoon, I started to do my English homework. I need to write a short story in English. I chose to write about a trip to the beach. I think it will be fun to share my experience with others.

I also watched a movie at home. It was an English film called The Lion King. I didn’t understand everything, but I tried to guess the meaning from the pictures and the actors’ expressions.

At night, I wrote this diary. I hope I can learn more English during the summer and have a good time too.
