【My（Favorite及Holiday我最喜欢的节日及初三英语作文）】Among all the holidays, I like the Spring Festival best. It is not only a time for family reunions, but also a special time to celebrate with my loved ones.
The Spring Festival usually comes in January or February. Before the festival, my family and I clean our house together. We think it can bring us good luck. Then we buy new clothes and decorate the house with red lanterns and couplets. Red is the color of happiness and joy in China.
On the eve of the Spring Festival, my whole family gathers to have a big dinner. We eat many delicious dishes, such as dumplings, fish, and rice cakes. After dinner, we watch the Spring Festival Gala on TV. It is very interesting and makes everyone feel happy.
At midnight, we set off fireworks and firecrackers to welcome the new year. The bright lights and loud sounds make me excited. On the first day of the new year, I visit my relatives and friends. We give each other red envelopes filled with money as a symbol of good wishes.
I really enjoy the Spring Festival because it brings me a lot of joy and warmth. It is a time when I can spend quality time with my family and feel the traditional culture of China. I hope that one day I can go back to my hometown during the Spring Festival and experience the real atmosphere of this festival.
In short, the Spring Festival is my favorite holiday, and I always look forward to it every year.
