April 7, 2014
English Part:
Distinguished teachers, students, and guests, good afternoon!
It is a great honor to be here today at one of China's most prestigious universities—Fudan University. I know that this visit is not only an opportunity for academic exchange, but also an important bridge between the youth of our two nations, helping to build understanding and friendship.
As a leader, I often emphasize the importance of education. Because knowledge is the engine of social progress, and young people are the hope of the future. You, the younger generation, carry the responsibility of shaping the world and have unprecedented opportunities.
China has achieved remarkable development in recent decades, with sustained economic growth, continuous technological advancement, and a significant improvement in people's living standards. These achievements are the result of the hard work and wisdom of generations of Chinese people. Similarly, the United States continues to explore and move forward, facing challenges and seeking innovation.
But no matter where we come from, we all face common issues: climate change, economic development, global security, poverty, and inequality. These problems do not stop at national borders; they require us to work together to solve them.
Therefore, I firmly believe that cooperation between China and the United States is essential. We need to strengthen communication, build mutual trust, and work together to address global challenges. At the same time, we should respect each other's culture and systems, and engage in dialogue with a constructive attitude.
Finally, I would like to say to every student here: You are the leaders of the future, the hope for changing the world. Please keep your curiosity, dare to pursue your dreams, and use your knowledge and passion to bring positive changes to this world.
Thank you very much!
